Vinyl bowls

Stayed up late to experiment with some vinyl. We tried three different ways of molding old vinyl records. The first way we tried was forming it with boiling water. It worked, but it was not as easy to form it because it would loose it's form as we turned it over the water. The next way we tried was putting the record over an upside down bowl in the oven. This way was very easy and it came out in a perfect form. The upside to this method is consistency, you will get the same mold every time. The downside to this method is that you do not have as much control over the form. The third way we tried was putting the record flat on a pan to heat it and then using a bowl to form it. This was my favorite way because you have the most control over the form while having a bowl to act as guidance.
