I found this pattern for a really cute beret. I think I may make this one as soon as I finish the beret I am working on now. This one will be a treat to myself!
Beret:
Ch4, join to form ring.
Round 1: Work 8 Ps into ring, join.
Round 2: Work 2 Ps in each Ps around, join.
Round 3: Work 1Ps in same st as joining, *2 Ps in next st, 1Ps in next st* around, ending with 2Ps in last st, join.
Round 4: Work 1Ps in same st as joining and 1Ps in next st, 2Ps in next st, *1 Ps in next st, 2Ps in next st* around, join.
Round 5: Work 1Ps in same st as joining and 1Ps in next 2 st, 2Ps in next st, *1 Ps in next 3 st, 2Ps in next st* around, join.
Round 6:Work 1Ps in same st as joining and 1Ps in next 3 st, 2Ps in next st, *1 Ps in next 4 st, 2Ps in next st* around, join.

Bow:
Ch20, hdc in third ch from hook, and in each ch across, turn.
Row 1: ch2, hdc in next st and in each across, turn.
Rows 2-7: repeat row1.
Cut yarn and weave in ends.
Bow centre:
Ch8, hdc in third ch from hook, and in each ch across.
Finishing:
Sew bow center around bow, gathering the middle of the bow and joining edges of bow centre.
Sew Bow on beret.

We made it! We made it to Nashville, and we are all unpacked. Unfortunately, I was not able to do as much crocheting along the way because our truck did not have a cab light. I was only able to crochet in the light of day which is a pretty rare commodity this time of year. I did manage to whip out 3 lap top cozies and create an owl sleeping mask pattern inspired by a very poorly written pattern I found online. Now that I have a real desk to work at and a sewing machine I feel that I will be getting a lot more work done than when my desk was the coffee table. Also, being jobless may help.
